Fun shows in Maine

Sue Jones and I went to visit 2 interesting fiber arts shows in Maine.

The smaller one is Sarah Haskell’s weavings, at the Maine Fiberarts Asociation, in Topsham.

The big show is a surface design exhibit at USM Lewiston-Auburn Campus, in Lewiston. Joan, this one made me think of you. It has all kinds of interesting stuff in it.

You have most of this month to catch them!

  1. Thanks for the info. I’ve been to Mainefiberarts – a very nice little gallery, and also have seen Sarah’s work. Both well worth the trip.

Am not familiar with the other site you mentioned – but will certainly make an effort to look into it.

  2. Just an added noted for those of us with Macomber looms. Sarah Haskell maintains “Macomber Looms and Me” – http://macomberloomsandme.blogspot.com/ This blog offers the only online connection to Macomber Looms since the company does not have a website. The additional treat is getting to see Sarah’s weaving!

November and December are filled with fiber-related opportunities. There never seems to be enough time to enjoy all of them. Thank you to our NOBO members for providing overviews.
