NOBO Meeting Thursday March 22 at 7 pm
Next NOBO meeting “Sewing with Handwovens” presentation by Sharon Baker 7 pm Thursday March 22
Sharon Baker has been a weaver for 12 years and a seamstress for 44. It isn’t surprising therefore that her first weaving project was fabric for a jacket, and she had no fear of cutting into the cloth despite the fact that it was the warp from Hades. She named the jacket “Coming Unraveled” and won the HGA Award from her guild that year. She is passionate about sewing with handwoven fabric and loves to welcome weavers to the fold. Come look at her garments, listen to their stories, and bring your own to show and talk about, with gentle analysis where appropriate.
